Drip Line

A line on the ground, a plaza, roof terrace or balcony in the same vertical plane as the outside edge of a roof or overhang that occurs at the level of the floor or roof of a floor level immediately above.

That line on or beyond the outside surface of the exterior enclosure of a building lying within the same vertical plane as the outside edge of an overhang or perimeter portion of the building roof system.

A projection that may be beyond the exterior walls of a building that represented the furthest outward projection of the building. Usually determined by floors or projections above the first floor or projected roof structure.
