Usable Area, Floor

Shall mean the sum of Usable areas of office area, store areas and Building Common Areas of a floor. The amount of Floor Usable Area can vary over the life of a building as corridors expand and contract and as floors are remodeled.

A term used by the BOMA Office Standard connoting the sum of Office, Store and Building Common Areas on a floor. Also used by Stevenson Systems Inc. as the gross area of a floor minus major vertical penetrations and all common services.
